Privacy · Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018

How your information is handled.

The short version: this site collects nothing about you unless you choose to write. If you do, your details are used to answer you, and for nothing else. They are never sold, never added to a marketing list, and never passed on.

The longer version follows, because you are entitled to it.

Who is responsible

The controller.

Impossible Studio Limited, a company registered in Jersey, is the data controller for this site. The Data Protection Officer is Wayne Dowden. For anything in this notice, write to hello@impossible.je and it lands with him directly.

What is collected

Only what you hand over.

The contact form asks for your name, your email address and your message, together with a record of the consent you give when you send it. If you choose to email or telephone instead, only what you share in that conversation is held. The site has no accounts, no sign-ups and no forms beyond that one.

Why, and on what basis

To answer you.

Your details are used to read your enquiry, reply to it, and carry on the conversation you started. The lawful basis is your consent, given by the tick box on the form, and you may withdraw it at any time by writing to the address above. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything done before you withdrew it.

Where it goes

To one mailbox, and no further.

When you send the form, my own automation server processes the submission, delivers it to my inbox, and sends an acknowledgement to the address you gave. Your details are not sold, not used for marketing, and not shared with anyone else, unless the law requires it. Like almost every web server, the server hosting this site keeps standard technical logs, such as IP addresses, for security.

How long it is kept

As long as the conversation needs.

Enquiries are kept while the conversation is live. Where an enquiry does not lead to work, it is deleted within twelve months. Where it does, the details become part of the working relationship and are kept for as long as that relationship, and any legal obligation attached to it, requires.

Cookies

There are none.

This site sets no cookies and carries no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts. What you read here stays between you and the page.

Your rights

The law puts you in charge.

Under the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018 you have the right to ask what is held about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its use, to receive a copy in a portable form, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise any of these, write to hello@impossible.je. You will get an answer, not a process.

If you are not satisfied with how your information has been handled, you have the right to complain to the Jersey Office of the Information Commissioner at jerseyoic.org.
